We’re still living in the van and are about to truck it into British Columbia but not without a couple Stampede shows

None of us can get over how fortunate we are to play some of the rooms we have. Off the beaten path barns, southern Alberta honky tonks, theatres and homes. It’s incredible how a list of thank-yous grows after a week on the road, let alone a month – we’ve done our best to do it in real time on the Instagram and Twitter account, but a new blog should be in order.

Then throw Regina Folk Festival into the mix. We’re playing at it from Thursday, August 10 through to Sunday, August 13 not to mention ripping out to Kyle, SK to play the rodeo dance on the night of August 12. A huge thanks to Sandra Butel for the generous slots and the interest of having twang at her festival. She knows what she’s doing – Marty Stuart is on the bill.

Another special night we are going to be involved with is a night in support of YOUR TIME Women’s Empowerment Foundation alongside our old pal Colter Wall. Thanks to Sandra Beug for feeling our missions align. We are honoured to be a part of the evening.

YOUR TIME Women’s Empowerment Foundation has recognized the importance of providing menstrual supplies to young women in two target locations – Northern Saskatchewan and Columbia. Their mission as stated on their Facebook Page:

“Our mission is to provide girls and women with the knowledge and sustainable resources to manage menstrual hygiene. Our vision is that, once the lack of a feminine hygiene product no longer prevents girls from attending school more young women will complete their education, realize their potential, and thereby become empowered to contribute to their communities and ultimately rise above poverty.”

Incredible.
